Joshua had his first interest in the drums at the age of
three, while attending the rehearsals for St.Elmo's Fire. With inspiration and
guidance from his fathers(Paul and Erich), and the forgiving ears of his
mother, he started his first band, Speechless, at the age of thirteen (in
Raleigh, NC).
He later progressed to working with his first
professional project, a band called Q, out of San Diego. There he got the
opportunity to open for international acts, such as Steve Hackett and Brand X.
He played on his first cd, produced by Rodell records, at the age of seventeen.
After refining his skills in many high school bands and home studio projects,
he gained recognition in the San Diego music scene. He is presently a
hired hand for bands such as, Greasey Petes, Tracy Niles, Martha's Kitchen,
Gentlemen of Elegant Leisure, and the back up group for Ike Turner. Joshua is
living in San Diego, California; working on a solo project, and also a
collaborative effort with Erich Feldman, Lexie Nicole and Portland.
